Betsy Stanton

Church Administrator

Betsy Staton was introduced to the Episcopal Church by her soon-to-be-husband, Steve Staton, and was confirmed at St. John’s, Oklahoma City, in 1981. The couple was married at St. John’s and their two children were baptized there. In 1992, when Steve was ordained a vocational deacon, the family transferred to St. David’s. Since then, Betsy has served as Sr. Warden, Jr. Warden, Vestry member, Director of Music, and Christian Education Director. She is also a lay reader and serves on the Altar Guild. Betsy worked as a commercial loan analyst at a large downtown bank. When she retired, she volunteered for the job of secretary/treasurer at the church and now is Church Administrator. Betsy has three dogs and competes in dog Obedience, and Rally and Scent Work Trials. She teaches obedience classes and is currently the Training Director of Oklahoma City Obedience Training Club.
