What Do We Believe?
As
Episcopalians, we believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father,
Son, and Holy Spirit. We follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose life,
death, and resurrection saved the world. We believe that God loves all people
without any exceptions. Based on God’s inclusive love, both women and men serve
as bishops, priests, and deacons within our church. And we believe that God’s
gift of leadership can be given to all people, regardless of their sexual identity
or orientation.
About The Episcopal Church
We
are members of the Anglican Communion in the United States and partners with
the Church of England and the Scottish Episcopal Church. And as members of the
Anglican Communion, with a membership of over 80 million, we are part of the 3rd largest group of Christians throughout the world.
